Account Terminated for Advertisement

These past few months I've been on and off on WoW. and most recently, I tried logging in-game and it said this account is no longer unavailable. Logged on here and apparently my account was terminated for "Advertisement". May I know the reason for this? There was no proof of me advertising, and if there was, may I see if it was actually me? I do not remember ever advertising in-game and sure did hope this termination was a mistake. I contacted a GM a few days ago but no one replied.

You have to make ban appeal using support system on website here. Those bans usually happen when someone advertises a different private server or a gold selling site. It doesn't matter if it was you or not if your account was used. But it could also be because of shared IP with someone else who was banned for it.

for a while now people are advertising on the warmane servers for websites where you can buy gold, the advertisers are using stolen accounts.
Maybe a while ago your account got stolen and was used for advertising?

Accounts get stolen because people use poor passwords, no two factor authentication or the ingame authentication method.
If people decide to buy gold from these websites, they are actually buying gold from stolen accounts.

Over the last few days i have taken screenshots and reported the advertisers, in all cases ( 8 ) the accounts got permabanned
GM's will eventually get to your ticket and answer it, can take several days to longer then a week because ban appeals have the lowest priorities of the tickets

That is not how these people steal accounts. They aren't actually selling gold, these are fake websites that are used only to steal account info...and maybe people are dumb enough to think it's real and put their account info in.
