WotLK Ragnaros BUGS

I joined this community 2 months back so i can enjoy some vanilla experience.Yesterday after reaching level 55 with my other character,I wanted to start off as a death knight.Everything was going fine and smooth until "The gift that keeps on giving" quest.I used the device "the portable plague spreader" in the mines and the miners died because of it.However they didn't return back as ghouls,i kept on trying for 30 minutes but it bore no fruit.They didn't even come back as enraged spirits...

Now i hope that the Warmane community might correct me(if there is no bug) or fix the bug in the Ragnaros servers.Others death knights also faced the bug along with me.
