How to make Warmane the largest private server of them all.
People sometimes ask why Warmane doesnt host any Vanilla or TBC realms, the general answer is that it would be too time consuming as Warmane already needs to focus on keeping 3 others expansion up and running.
It appears that TBC, WotLK and Vanilla are the absolutely most revered expansions, and players are drawn to any private server that hosts the best Blizzlike experience.
With Lordaeron, Warmane has established itself on the market, people know about Warmane because of the huge success of Lordaeron.
Here is my recipie for making Warmane the greatest private WoW server: Scrap MoP and Cata realms. Stop putting down time and resources on them, You are famous because of Wotlk,
And finally, as you scrapped MoP and Cata, you shall add 2 new servers, a Lordaeron copy of Vanilla and TBC realms. Put down your time and effort on these realms and their respective expansion, make them just as famous as Lordaeron has become, and you shall be unstopable!
What Tyradon said.
Also, they've put some work in Cata and a lot more in Mists, scrapping them will make them have wasted their time. In the beginning of the year there was a poll in which people voted to save Cata, while Mists have higher population, which means they will let it stay. So let them finish these first. I do believe in Warmane being able to make those expansions at some point, but not anytime soon *possibly if they decide TBC and/or Vanilla>WoD?*
I think its unrealistic to assume that Cata or MoP will ever have the same quality like the lordaeron realm in terms of scripting.
Just look how broken everything is right now and how much content they would need to fix (especially on MoP) until a x1 realm would be possible.
Also, when the development focus gonna be on Cata and MoP I doubt that many newcomers would be willing to join Neltharion or Frostwolf where everybody is runing around in BiS gear.
Having a high quality vanilla or TBC x1 realm would definitely attract more ppl and our Wotlk realms would also benefit from it since vanilla and TBC scripts could be ported over to wotlk.
With Blizzard seeming more open to legacy servers now, they may well have their own WOTLK server some day. If that happens, the main attraction of private servers could be for less popular expansions like Cata and MoP.
There's just no business sense behind not having options. Cata is an option many of us like to have. If you don't agree, just don't play it.

i dont want to sound rude or anything or dont advertise anything but i believe warmane would be better off scrapping cata and mop simply because there are better alternatives to the warmane realms regarding these expansions. warmane seemes to have their work cut out for them with wotlk, they are the leading project for wotlk.
just scrap them and integrate the devteam into the wotlk team.
but then again everyone and his dog has an opinion on this topic i also doubt that warmane will listen to such topics because they have their own plans probably already laid out.

I disagree for pvp, and I've tried the major alternatives. They were even buggier than Warmane.
I know the one you're probably thinking of for Cata, and it's a good server for pve and leveling, but it's worse than Warmane for pvp. Plus, you'd have to spend a long time leveling and gearing to even try out the max level pvp there. I like being able to hit the ground running at Warmane. Cata is really a pvp expansion anyway. You see very few people who look back on Cata as a pve golden era, but I've talked to a lot of pvpers who look at Cata that way.
As far as MoP, there's one server that gets a lot of hype but is horribly buggy in my experience. And Warmane is quickly improving on MoP.
