WotLK Lordaeron - Item drop rate nerfed?

Hello guys,
I was leveling my paladin from 20 to 30 and during this time I didn't get a SINGLE item or weapon with stat. Like I got really nothing and I need them items for Enchanting. I don't count dungeons because I got items there, I only count leveling zones.

So my question is clear...Are the rates nerfed or is it just my bad karma?

it's normal for that to happen even on the 7x realms. mobs don't really start dropping gear often until hellfire. can't see it being any different on a lower rated realm.
