I have to start with the fact that I am NOT a contributing member, however, I have been contemplating to become one. After my experiences, I doubt I will ever become one, though.
Yes, I realize that my yesterday's post was wrong, as I needed to RTFM and check the bug tracker - submit a bug or a comment. Lesson learned. Thanks.
However, after that I spoke to one of my friends, who suggested I raise an in-game ticket to a game master to ask them to mark the quest as completed from their end to enable my character to progress further. Easier said than done.
He spoke from experience, where he did the same thing for a Sons of Hodir quest - the quest was bugged and the game master did the exact thing - marked the quest as completed and this enabled him to gain reputation and access the dailies. Maybe a coincidence, but my friend is a contributing member.
Raised a ticket and received an answer that the game masters do not provide support in such cases. This left me thinking and scratching my head. Left me with a sour taste in my mouth.
What do the game masters provide support for then? Do the game masters not have a uniform code of conduct? A codex of some sort? Does one GM decide he wants to help, the other decides he does not want to?
Now, this is not going to stop me from progressing in leveling my character. This is just merely going to set me back a bit to find other ways how to access Wyrmrest temple and I will need to play from the other end - Howling Fjord, however, it is a disappointment none the less.
Yes, I realize, that the GM's are busy. Yes, I realize that there will be a storm of comments that they cannot just flick a switch for people. But at the same time, the quest is broken for the last 2 months now and at least some help and exceptions would be appreciated in the wave of broken quests on this server. Yes, I realize that most of them are probably unpaid volunteers. Yes, I realize that there has been a lot of work done in the background to enable anyone to play, but still...
