    Alt Not Receiving Mail After an Hour

    I mailed 25k gold to a freshly made alt that I had not logged in yet. It has been over an hour and I have not received the money.

    Has anyone encountered this problem?

    Me either it is just one toon that is not getting anything and it is my banking toon so shipped a ton of mats and nada. ALso sold stuff in AH from him and nothing??? whats going on?

    I received a response to my ticket. I was told to make sure I was mailing to the correct recipient. This is obviously NOT the case.

    The only thing I can guess is there is a character from one of the old realms with the same character name as mine, but I got the name before that character was transferred over. I have absolutely no idea.

    I would also like to note that this does NOT extend to the Auction House for me. I get mail from auctions just fine. I can also send mail from my alt to my main, but when my main sends mail to my alt, it does not go through. I am baffled.

    Updating with further information.

    The updated ticket:

    I have made multiple attempts to send funds to the same character, doing a 1 gold "test" mail shortly thereafter. I have resorted to the forums where another individual has had a the same problem. There is also a bugtracker report, There was no error in the recipient name.

    It appears this problem may exist because there was another character named Daray on either Ragnaros or Deathwing.

    I can send money from the Daray to Zanzagar, but whenever I send money the other way, it does not go through.

    I have this problem as well. Here is the information I have gathered.

    Character X is the problem character that cannot receive mail.

    Character X cannot receive mail from any other characters. This includes both mail and/or money.

    Character X CAN purchase and retrieve items from the auction house.

    As an obvious precaution to show that I did NOT enter the wrong name when mailing, I tried to send mail from character X to my main, clicking "reply." The mail still did not go through.

    I have another open GM ticket, as well as a thread on the support forum. I am currently out 25,000 gold. I hope we can see this fixed.

    UPDATE (taken from bugtracker report):

    The character can receive mail now. However, all previous mails are still lost/not received by me.

    Is there a plan to reroute/track the lost mail? If not, will the funds/items be returned after 30 days (when the mail spits back unclaimed items)?

    ALERT TO ALL

    This is still happening.

    I just sent a bunch of heirlooms from one of my characters to an ALT. There was NO error message or problems when I sent the mail, and I just sent the items (no gold or message attached). I then logged onto the recipient toon and there was NO MAIL. I waited an hour JIC, and nothing ever came.

    Both toons had been logged in previously with NO issues (and both are in my own private guild).

    I just made an in-game ticket and sent it to the GM's.

    It is absolutely RIDICULOUS that something like this could happen. I have played a LOT of private servers from vanilla to cata, and have NEVER had any of them just flat-out delete my mail items into oblivion. In fact, no matter how BAD those servers were, typically the ONE thing I could count on was being able to use the mail system reliably. I have been on molten for quite a while and nothing like this has ever happened.

    There is something DRASTICALLY WRONG with the mail system at the moment - maybe a front page (or in-game) warning should be considered.

    This is appalling.

    I was going to open a ticket on the site under the account support section, but the only category is "ban appeal". /Boggle.

    The only other form of help seems to be a PM to someone on the forums, but WHO? If the GM said they cant help, then how could a GM here help? And going further, how could a forum mod help an in-game issue like this? A dev works on code, not the failure of the mail system.

    I need a course of action to resolve this issue asap. losing an entire pack of enchanted heirlooms due to the failure of the mail system is NOT acceptable.

    It is very unacceptable. From the information I am getting and the multiple tickets I have opened, our best bet is to wait 30 days for the mail system to push back the unclaimed items. It is better than losing everything, I suppose.
