    Transmog?

    Greetings.

I was told yesterday during all the hype that in some "Q&A" , Warmane staff has responded that Icecrown will indeed have transmog option?
Is that truly the case ? I'd love to hear a response!
    Thank you a lot!

Sorry if this is a wrong place to ask this, but GD seemed like proper place? Idk?

There was such an idea confirmed on forums as well, that you would pay coins for being able to enable it for you on website, but only you and other people who would have it would see it.

This is a great idea. I also wanted that transmog will be in wotlk servers to refresh our eyes on some gears. But I read post or a thread and I think it was Mod Mercy stated that they have no plans for any custom server.

I know you want transmog, and I respect your opinion, but a lot of people feel that it makes the game cheap, good looking characters should come from lots of hard work, doing dungeons, raids, and pvp. If you can just slap it on, then it well looks cool, but doesn't reflect what your character has been through.

Yeah, but also most Wotlk sets look quite trashy, and besides that, as far as I know, wouldn't transmog require you to have the item that you want to Transmog for? AKA : Gorehowl for an Axe, and yknow, gathering a willing team for older content ain't a cake walk, besides that, most of them don't have a huge drop chance to begin with, and it may add a bit of variety to characters, instead of everyone looking the same :<, also, it could be a toggle on/off option on website as I read somewhere, just my take on the whole thing :sigh

you're right dude. to get transmog items people will also have to work hard on it. esp a huge amount of patience for the item/s to drop.

Transmog isn't some feature that is turned off, it didn't exist. It didn't even exist in CATA. It was introduced in MoP so people could go back to there WoTLK sets and CATA set looks.

All it ended up doing was making it harder to actually tell if a player had skill, for example, in MoP you can solo ICC and by Solo I mean 1 shot every single boss. With basic gear. So now you have someone wearing ICC Transmog gear. So before you would look at him and go, oh he completed ICC, he hasn't completed the MoP raids yet, but he must be skilled because did ICC, hey want to join my guild? we will help you get newer gear for raids.

Now its, oh he has ICC gear, inspect, wait this is all transmog, noob, we don't want him (I have actually been in a conversation like this on retail while looking for people with my guild master)

I also have no idea why people are so obsessed over this idea of Transmog that they want it shoved into games that didn't even have it.

so, is it confirmed ? i hope it is.
all reasons not to, including the one above about "player skill" are dumb as f.
like people look at your gear to see if youre any good, without inspection, and without gear score addon, and host of other things, visual look on you is probably last on the list in determining someone`s competence.
plus, it will revive whole server. there will be transmog raids, transmog runs for old dungeons, economy will also be more diversified positively as people will want to craft uniques from vanilla and tbc (im on wotlk server)
i mean npc put in major citys that does transmog. and that its required to posses item that you want its look transmoged.
i cant name a single negative that would happen.

only, and i mean only reason not to have it, is because wotlk didnt have it. AT FIRST.
later is implemented, wotlk have it, and everyone loves it.
its not a feature that in any way shape or form is controversial.. so, youve done a lot of positive things.
    Please dont stop on this
i can guarantee you, make some kind of user feedback, create a poll and do server announcements for people to vote do they want or not. il bet 90%+ would say yes.

Stopped reading here. I know more people who hate transmog than those who like it. And I'm also one of those who dislike transmog. Because of it we barely ever see what new implemented armor sets look like. And then we ask why are they so bad - cus none sees them anyway!!!

I'm against transmog. Overall. In whole WoW.

    wtf are u talking about.
you can have your pristine armor sets untouched. transmog is not a requirement. its something you do if you want to. if you dont, you leave item on you looking as it is originaly.
and there is no "new sets" here. its private server. all items are items that exist already and existed for decade. nothing new there.
but you would love to restrict options to people who hate seeing the same thing on them constantly ?

I liked the transmog thing til i went to blackrock and i saw all the horrible costumes people had. Priests with plate, palas with warlock items, people with random items that just look horrible. Nope nope nope nope. If they could make class related items only like priests with cloth, palas with plate, shamans with mail, etc, then ok, transmog is nice but to see a priest dressed in dk items, that's just ugly.
