Well hey, howdy, and hi.
I seem to be in a constant quest of trying to find a good WoW home. I'm here because, let's face it, I'm impressed with Warmane's population on their Wrath servers. I don't hate current WoW, but Wrath was a special world. And I'd rather be there.
So, hello, I'm Phay and I'm new to Warmane.
I have a question or few, if I may. Before I get sucked into WotLK again.
1. The difference between Lordaeron and Icecrown is that Ice is 7x the xp and Lor is 1x and has no dungeon finder. Is that correct?
2. What's the A:H ratio on those realms?
3. Do guilds still recruit freshies and run Naxx, Uld, and ToC? Or does everyone just zerg ICC?
4. I know every private server is different, but how are classes? Are they balanced decently, or are they're only 1 or 2 viable classes?
Thanks to anyone who can spare some time to answer those, and I hope to see you all in-game :)
Welcome on Warmane! I hope you're having a good time so far! :)
Ok let me try and answer your questions as much as possible:
1. Lordaeron also has buffed raids and progressive release of content. currently only naxx and ulduar are open. also on ice, gold rep and prof rates are 5x.
2. Best thing to check the Information page as it lists how many horde and alliance were online over the last 24 hours. Imo the factions are relatively equal.
3. Naxx and Uld are hardly ever done. Global mostly consists of Fos/Pos Nm and Hc, a few ToC' (although less since it got fixed and actually requires some brain to be done) aswell as the usual bunch of VoA's and ICC's (mostly 10n and 25n). This only applies to Icecrown ofc, because as i mentioned above, Lord is progressive release. I think that on Lord, a lot of guilds still recruit freshies, on Icecrown there is the whole spectrum of guilds, so just find one that suits you for your current situation.
4. I can only talk PvE here. Balance feels quite nice since the new core, the dps rankings are more or less what they should be and there is no spec anymore that is unviable in any role in PvE (except the usual candidates, Sub Rogue, Survival Hunter, Frost Mage).
Heya densi77!
Thank you for your words of wisdom!
Both realms seem really interesting and surprisingly even. I'll probably try both out.
I'm glad to hear the classes are well done. I mained a druid in Wrath and look forward to that nostalgia.
I may see you around sometime then, thanks again!
