Home latency goes to sky when joining bgs

Hi there, in last days I cannot play bgs because home latency jumps to over 5k with lag spikes of 10-15sec (no addons activated, internet provider says "no line issue"). Am I the only one that is suffering of this?

You're not,I just had huge lag spikes, one 15s,one 2 min or so. My friend had them too.

Having same issue, thought it was on my part but seems other people are affected too. I hate it when it happens cause I am becoming free honor :p

Try unchecking the Optimize Network for Speed on the Network settings tab and relaunch your client.

Nothing changed ... 19ms home latency out of bgs ... more than 2k ms home latency and over 1 min of constant lag in bgs. This sux.

Here are some things you can try :
    1. Make backup and remove (not disable) all addons and try playing. If it works, you can figure out which addon is causing issue through trial and error. Addons such as unitframe or nameplate related can increase latency and/or drop fps drastically in BGs if they're not the correct version or badly written.

    2. Assuming you're on PC, try a pathping to Frostwolf server through cmdprompt to see if there's any packet loss. Do it while you're lagging. FW's address can be found out through Resource Monitor while game is running. You can also try a traceroute to see if the route taken by your connection to server has changed and whether it's a bad one now. Check for latencies in each hop, their physical locations (several websites available to find this) and see if something's wrong. For eg. my connection once used to go halfway around the world for no reason whatsoever to connect to the server. You'll have much more information at your disposal when trying to call your ISP next. With pathping and traceroute, you should be able to narrow down the issue (if it's a network issue) to the correct link.

    3. Try running the game on a different computer on same network and/or on a friend's PC who uses the same ISP. Also try running the game at different times. If your ISP has over sold their connection to your neighborhood, this can induce lag during peak hours of activity.
Check if it's just MoP client that you have issue with, or if it's same for WotLK or Cata.

That's all I can think of atm. Will update if I remember something else. Good luck!

yea I have same issue only with MoP client. I tried wotlk as well as cataclysm it work smooth so I found some stuffs related to MoP client that I lose so much packet in MoP client and the lag I got is battle lag or u can say combat lag.
    4. Also look at your Windows Firewall and give access to your wow.exe I tried and it worked fine for me. :)
