    New PvPer

Hello, I've recently started to get interested in PvP instead of PvE and would like it if there were any tips/tricks/suggestions. I'm currently leveling a rogue for PvP (just started it) on icecrown horde side. I also have an 80 druid that I am going to dual spec feral for this. Anybody on here or in game want to toss some helpful advice this way? Anything helpful is appreciated. Have a good day.

If you're a pure pver then you might be familiar with backpedaling, well... don't do it in pvp.

    Some general tips :
Don't backpedal. It hurts your play and wastes a key.

Keybind as much of your abilities as possible. Even food and a mount. Only things where keybinding is not necessary is stuff you will NEVER EVER use while in combat. Make sure to use proper arrangement of keys i.e abilities you need to hit fast and often should be easy to reach.

Learn to change between mouse(double press) and keys to move.

Consult a guide for setting up your character, but also ask around in-game because things can be slightly different in a private server. Inspect high rated players of your class and see how they've geared and enchanted, their talents, glyphs etc.

Try to limit your usage of addons to only those necessary. Your UI should be clean enough so that you don't miss things happening around you. Some addons can be used as training wheels and later discarded. There are lists available of good PvP addons.

Watch arena videos of high rated players of your class. Check how and when they CC, blow CDs, how they communicate etc. This might be a bit difficult for someone new to PvP but you should get on it sooner or later.

Finally, in PvP, situational awareness is key. Watch opponent's position, their buffs, try to track what kind of CDs they've already used up and what they still have to hit you with.

    Good luck!

uhmm .. ill list the tips in priority order

    1) Go alliance
    2) Go human
    3) Never backpedal - unbind "S" key from lvl 1
    4) Make macros
    5) Make focus macros
    6) Make more macros
    7) Keybind under 2min spells - over 2min CD spells could be clickable (better if u can bind them)

With the keybinding part try 3-4 keys and get used to it then add moar, if u start keybinding it all u might have hard times.

i wouldnt unbind the s key, its very useful in certain situations when positioning, especially with the rogue... but yeah, dont backpedal
