Why are some fish botters not banned, even with clear evidence?
A few days ago, I have submitted evidence for 2 players using fish bots. I received a response telling me that they will investigate. Now, 2 or 3 days after the response, imagine my surprise when I went to the auction house to sell 3 stacks of Pygmy Suckerfish, when I saw one of the people that I reported having listed 39 stacks. 39 stacks.
That's 780 fish, with a 7% drop rate in Crystalsong Forest, where he uses his fish bot because he's low level and can't go to another area. That means that he fished over 11000 fish to obtain his suckerfish. Tell me, does that sound human?! Apart from this, which would alone stand as evidence to anybody with half a brain or more, I also have print screens and I provided the GMs with the exact time and date of the incidents, as instructed in their reporting tutorial.
The player in question is ............ Here are 2 print screen collections with him and 3 other players clearly using fish bots. You can see that I spit on them, slap them, even attack some of them, and I get no reaction for minutes.
Also, all of these 4 players fish in the exact god damned spot, so I fail to see how the GMs have a hard time catching them.
These fish sell for 1.5-2 gold a piece, so that's over a thousand gold going to a fish bot instead of fair users just in this case.
Your "evidence" is that they don't react to someone being annoying to them?
I myself would just ignore you if I was farming something while watching some show on TV.

Fish 39 stacks with ur hands and report when you are done, go.
Its enough a blink of eye at the AH to detect million fishbotters who are too retarеd to not upload such amount of fish.

you will continue spam fishing spell right after you got attacked, sure

Who says they were all fished in one go? Who says it was all fished by one single person? Who says they weren't bought off someone and being resold for profit or playing the market to force prices? Who says how long they were fishing?
"Look at the amount" is paper-thin evidence by itself.
Also, people think that if the character doesn't accept Group Invite, or answers whispers or doesn't react to a nude dance it's a bot... I think that a GM can easily whisper the player you reported as soon as he sees your ticket, and I am sure the player farming will respond quick, like Obnoxious said, the player is probably watching TV or doing something in another screen/computer.
Don't spend your energy trying to find out people cheating in the game, most of the things that are really cheating get fast banned because of a lot of people report them. The problem is that the complainers, complain about stuff, and the people that complain do this about everything, and not everything is a cheat just because you cannot do what the player is doing.
May be he is not a Human, but not a robot either... You didn't think about that, right? Maybe it's you wanting to know why some bots get banned and some not... By the way, if you get banned and you ask the reason, most of the times you will not be told, to prevent you from knowing the thing that got you banned you bot.
EDIT: What Obnoxious said, maybe that player was fighting market with other guy, and this "bot" was buying all his fishes, and may be the other guy stopped selling, and this "bot" puts all fishes of all the people he bought, at double price. Everyone gets mad, including you, and that other guy.
No, it's not. Botting is having an automated program do it for you. Watching something on TV and just looking at the screen when you get the visual cue of a fish is what I do when farming stuff like this in each and every game ever.
Obnoxious, I see that you muted my account and removed my print screens from my original post. Well played! Remove the evidence and my ability to post, problem solved! Why ban the fishing bot users when you can just mute the fair players that report them?!

You can't fish while in combat. This is very basic knowledge. I don't think you would ignore me if I attacked you for 3 minutes straight with my level 12.

so your statement is: we have a guy, who stays at one place for days, legally spams fishing skill nonstop and watches TV meanwhile, does not answer to combat engagement and ignores all surreounding environment ?
iam not surprised why Warmane loses a fight against bots if all bot-hunting gamemasters are people like you
nevermind
what is a real evidence needed for you to recognize bot ?

I didn't mute anything, I only gave you the usual infraction for trying to use the Forums to "report" people. But your attitude can get you sorta moted quickly, so tone it down, right now.
Also, what you think about what I'd do is irrelevant. Just because you wouldn't ignore a fly until it went away doesn't means someone who does "isn't human."
you can not fish legally and do something "in another sceen" as previous guy said, because wow window becomes inactive and pressing fishing skills in this case possible only with programm

okay, what is an real evidence needed for you to recognize bot ?
My statement is that I've done that myself before on multiple games. Real evidence will be collected by the GMs, not by players. It's them who will watch and try to contact the person - and generally not be ignored it they aren't bots, simply people focused on their task.
Also, what you think about what I'd do is irrelevant. Just because you wouldn't ignore a fly until it went away doesn't means someone who does "isn't human."
So you are actually claiming that you wouldn't kill a level 12 in one shot if he attacked you for 3 minutes straight, /slapped you and /spit on you and you couldn't fish because of him? You must be into some hardcore Zen stuff. You AND the 4 players that you removed the screenshots of. You all must be a bunch of Tibetan Zen Masters.

Or we know that the best way to get rid of people on World or Warcraft is to ignore them for a few minutes, until they go away.
Obnoxious, you might be right, maybe he isnt a bot, but dont you think that there is a much higher chance that he is due to the evidence that was given?

Whether there's a chance or not isn't the point. If the report was made correctly, GMs are expected to check. So either a) GMs checked, tried to contact the people and they answered or b) GMs didn't check, and this should be brought up to the Head GM in a PM, not to the Forums in a thread.
