ALLIANCE OR HORDE? What class? What race? Icecrown!

So new to WoW (in terms of, I have never playd it before), BUT I AM FAMILIAR (sorry for writing mistakes, not my native language, so anyway) with the game cause i follow the lore and the game play A LOT on youtube and some sites (also veteran in different MMORPG's)

So I wanna know what's the situation on ICECROWN, I mean whats the balance between factions, cause i wan't to be from the smallest and weakest one (like challanges) or if it's ballanced, atleast give me a head bumb whats going on around. :D

Also can you advice me on what class to go for both pve and pvp at the same time.. I got offered a Ret Pala, but I don't think its in my style.
I was wondering is hunter good? (don't know his talent specs though)
Also frost mage? And fury warrior?

And which one requires most skills and is reliable in pve and pvp.

Also if you going to tell me faction, please be kind to atleast show and guide me to a class and a race, and proper proffesions for my class and race.

Also any general ideas, to what I should do when I jump In the beautiful game, would be very much appreciated.

Welcome to Warmane and WoW. Icecrown's PvP scene tends to change depending on what time you play but overall they're balanced if you plan on doing battlegrounds. I recommend that you try out the classes for yourself and pick the one you enjoy, it will be much more rewarding than playing something that someone else suggested. Blackrock is a good place to do your testing, it's instant 80 and you get free gear. I don't believe in skill requirements to play any class, they're all easy once you understand them, and more information for each one can be found in the Class Forums.

I'm going to start by saying that you shouldn't listen to any advice, but instead just pick whatever race, class & faction YOU want. This is by far the most important thing, if you want to enjoy the game.

What, you're still reading? Okay then... Ret Palas are easy and they're on the upper part of the damage scale, they're top tanks as Prot and also very good tank healers as Holy. Hunters are a decent PvE class, the best spec for raiding is Marksmanship. Mages are not competitive in PvE as Frost, so your options are Fire or Arcane, with Fire being the best at the highest available gear. Fury Warriors are the top PvE class/spec on WotLK when max geared. Mages are second.

Good morning guys, also.. another really stupid question... Icecrown or lord is better for PvE? I know both are pretty fine in PvP
