Pandaria Heirlooms and character deletion

Ok si stopped playing wow a while ago and i had characters with heirlooms on them. Now i started again and all my characters are gone, i understand and accept that characters are deleted after a while of innactivity, but there is no way to get my heirlooms or money back? Nothing?

when did you play last time? I doubt your characters have been deleted due to inactivity.
anyway you can restore your character if they have been deleted less than 30 days ago

I last played quite a long time ago, more than a year probably. Back in the days we had some things called vote points, i'm not sure there are still in. I used those to buy heirlooms but they got deleted along with the account, which kinda sucks.
