WotLK pve ffb mage dps

Hi all,

The question I've been facing is despite having the exact same gear, using the standard ffb spec rotation, clipping in lb sometimes fire blast if needed when no crits are popping up, i have 2k-4k less sustained dps than the other person.

Granted, I am not using any pots, and i don't have any dps boosting racials, (blood elf),

Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong? thanks

Don't Fire Blast even when you're having a bad crit streak. Save it for movement. And don't clip Living Bomb. Any Living Bomb that you refreshed before it had a chance to explode, you would have been better off never casting in the first place.

And being FFB instead of TTW is always a noticeable DPS loss in itself. Switch your spec to TTW, they have the same playstyles except that TTW uses Fireball instead od Frostfire Bolt as its filler, and does more DPS.
