WotLK World Chat is so quiet or is it me?

Hello guys, I have a problem...I dont see any message from other players in the world chat. Is the world chat just quiet or is something wrong with my chat?
I thnk I'm in the wrong channel, is there a active channel? Where they search players for raids/instances? Playing on the Lordaeron realm.

Are you sure you're using /join global and nothing else?

Also check in chat option if the channel is being shown in current tab
