Wotlk Transmog Rules

Hi,

I wanted to ask what the rules are for transmogging on the wotlk realms. These are the questions I would like to get an answer to:
- Is it possible to transmog the appearance of a main hand 1-handed weapon to any 1-hand/off-hand weapon, or just on an other main hand weapon?
- What rules apply to Fist weapons, can I transmog the appearance of a Fist weapon onto a sword as an example? And the other way around?
- What rules apply to staves? Can a stave me transmogged as a polearm or 2-handed mace? And the other way around?
- Are there other things that you might not really think are transmoggable as something that people might not know?

This could become a thread for people to check out the rules of the transmog, if they didn't think the official post gave enough information!

I didn't test this, but it has been confirmed as possible on the official transmog thread. However, a problem that occurs is that the model doesn't get mirrored. So, the weapon is basically facing the wrong way towards your character (at least if it isn't symmetrical) .

Fist to Fist.
Dagger to Dagger.
Staff/Polearm to Staff/Polearm.
1H Axe/Mace/Sword to 1H Axe/Mace/Sword.
2H Axe/Mace/Sword to 2H Axe/Mace/Sword.

Your class has to be able to use the weapon type in any case. For example, if your class cannot use swords you'll never be able to transmog the appearance of a sword to any of your weapons, no matter it being generally possible or not.
