WotLK Unable to equip gear after faction change

Hi,

Hopefully someone can help me out, I purchased a faction change and after the faction change, I logged in and I had a mail saying "unable to equip these items" It was my 4 main tier pieces. I took them out of the mail and tried to equip them and it says "You may never use this item" or something like that. After 2 days of trying to get hold of a GM who told responded to my ticket saying "we do not support this request"

Is there anyway I can get some help with this? I transferred over to play more and now I cannot really play because my 4 main pieces of gear are unable to be equipped.

Are those faction specific items that did not change to opposite faction during faction change? In that case you might get some support only if you bought those items for coins. Otherwise they do not give or exchange any items.

Not sure, they are tier pieces. All 5 tier pieces that I had to work hard to get? Also surely this should be explained before you purchase a faction change that you will lose access to your gear?

I don't remember seeing any faction specific tier pieces. At least not from wotlk gear. So I am not really sure what is happening with your items. Also all faction specific items are supposed to be exchanged to opposite factions items during faction change. Are you sure it's the right items and your items were not exchanged for different ones? Is there anything red in item tooltip indicating that you can't use the item? What is your characters class and what items are those?

iirc the ToC tiers (T9) I think is faction specific.

Nothing on. The tooltip, as I said I got a message from customer support in my mailbox saying unable to equip these items. Character is Priest on Lordaeron so it is ToC tier. /so I assume they weren't changed over to the alliance versions. This really sucks as i worked hard to gear up. GM replies say they don't support this. Was willing to take my money for the coins though =\ the whole set is Zavr's of triumph.

GM says they cant do it, bugtracker is not confirmed. What do I do?

If you bought those items for coins you can make a support ticket on website. Otherwise you will have to get new items or change faction back and hope your items don't change to anything else. GMs can't do anything with your items.

How is that fair though? I paid for a faction change. Nowhere when I was doing it was I told I wouldnt be able to use my top tier gear? Why can they not swap it over to the relevant set like it should have been done?

You cannot buy them for coins on Lordaeron?

It's not mentioned anywhere because it's not supposed to happen. All items should have changed to opposite factions items but some items might be missing from the list of items to exchange. Before I have only heard of cases when 1-2 items were not exchanged or were exchanged to wrong items. So your case is more serious than usually.

I wouldn't really call it fair but that's how it works here. GMs don't usually help with bugs unless it's something that stops you from playing the character properly (like class quests). There are exceptions but GMs can not give you items.
