1. Impossible Yun-Zhu (Stormstout Brewery - Challenge mode)

Does anyone else think this boss is totally bugged? It does not work as it should.

. The spheres that he invoke do nothing --> Should help you (jumping) to avoid the AOE damage (wich is also insane: like 150k per second).
    - Elementals that he invoke insta-silence you (almost all the fight), and then you can't kill them / do nothing as a caster. Just watch yourself die.
    - The unic way to pawn him (as some people have claimed) is stack like braindeads near tank and pry he does not one-shoot you.

Is there anything about it in the bugtracker? I have seen people with the achievement / set-gear / mount, so there must be some way to kill him. Any advice?

  2. It is possible the first time i did it along time ago , i had good group with 400k dps and we just nucked him down , it buggy yea you have to keep in mind you can't stand in one place you must interrupt the adds , and i killed like few hours ago on my retribution paladin , with just 250k dps, bubbles do work but not always 1/3 times they did work the rest you just die.

  3. From what I see on the testing realm he is working as he should. I guess I will explain the encounter
During the boss intro 3 types of adds will spawn and the boss will be using empowered versions of their abilities. This way you can see which abilities will be used and prepare yourself
    - Carbonation is a widespread aoe that can only be avoided if the player is flying. When he starts casting the ability, 5 Fizzy Bubbles will spawn around the room which can be used. Using one consumes it but gives flight to the player. Avoiding this spell is important because you cannot attack if you are affected by it
    - Wall of Suds is the ability that spawns 2 walls that move from one side of the room to another. The only way to avoid this ability is by jumping over the walls. . This is made easier by the passive Sudsy which boosts jumping height (you don't have to pick up anything, you have it by default if Wall of Suds is used)
    - Bubble Shield spawns 8 small bubbles that defend the boss. Each bubble reduces the damage taken by the boss by 10%. Damaging the bubbles removes these buffs
    - Yeasty Brew Alemental are adds spawned during the encounter that heal the boss. This can be avoided in two ways, one is to stand in the beam and receive the healing yourself, or kill the Alementals
    - Bloat makes the player to gush brew out of his ears, damaging players close to the left and right of him.
    - Blackout Brew is a stacking debuff that becomes more powerful if the player does not move. At 10 stacks the affected player will become stunned. To deal with this just keep moving until all of your stacks are gone

As you said on test realm :D
Anyway you cant interrupt the beam by standing infornt of it and plus you still have LoS problems in that room. But yeah it's killable with op dps if you burst him down fast. Also since you are here, why we cant get rewards on alts when we finish all challenges?

    Thank you for the feedback.

About the Line of Sight issue, it is disabled in The Tasting Room at the moment until the entire system has been corrected. (The mentioned room is the area the boss is in)
About the Yeasty Alementals, the healing beam is transferred to the player if he is between the Alemental and the boss (and there is no healing on the boss during that time). You can see the beam being redirected to me in the ss http://pokit.org/get/img/84eea0185fa...55dd163a66.jpg
The challenge mode rewards are being worked on, it is a general issue and not something related to this instance

I hope that cleared some things up. This boss is quite unique because of its difficulty. If you are having difficulties guides may help out. Bursting the boss down by out-gearing the instance will not be possible once the gear downscaling for challenge modes is implemented

I have to thank you too for answering. Maybe the los issue was effecting the beam i don't know. Also i forgot to ask, after downscalling gear(as it should) will you reset timers or give tittles etc? ( http://www.wowhead.com/news=225146/t...hallenge-modes )

  7. Yun-Zhu is not working exactly as it used to on retail, but the encounter isn't quite as bugged as you make it out to be - I'm fairly confident that I can judge that much based on my numerous attempts (and finally a few successful kills) on here. It is completely normal for him to not be a nobrainer as basically everything else / all the other dungeons, so you WILL need to learn his mechanics and do them properly - if you don't, you'll wipe, simple as that. Consider him a small raid boss maybe.

From what I've observed, the only *real* issues are the following:
    1) Afaik he's supposed to stop casting brew bolt the moment somebody gets in melee range - it seems like he keeps casting a few more on here, and that often enough leads to wipes if people don't pull their cds quick enough or the healer was sleeping / unable to heal
    2) The adds' healing streams don't get interrupted by players in the air (using a bubble). I *believe* it did get interrupted when we were standing on the ground between them and the boss though. Alternatively I'd recommend CCing the adds anyways, and then killing them quickly.

Besides that, what seems to lead to many wipes is that thing that makes beer burst out of you in large streams. It hits every player in close proximity of you for a metric ****ton of damage, so you should spread out in the room for the entire duration of the fight. Don't stack. Ever.
Always have somebody in melee range of the boss. And IF you get stacks of a certain debuff, always be on the move (or jump) - otherwise you'll get CCd for a rather long period of time at 10 stacks.
