Merge?

Im an old player and recently come to play again. When I check the My Account on the website theres "Merge" option on there that says we can link accounts to a freshly created account.

After some searching, i just know that theres a realm merge of Warsong and Neltharion. Is this Merge option is an remnant of that event and the devs forget to remove it or can we all players on all realms can merge our account?

Im playing on MoP server (Frostwolf) and somehow having 5 accounts on there, merging them to became one or two manageable account would be really helps :D

The feature does exactly what it says:

Players are now able to link an account and transfer any remaining characters above the 10 character limit to a fresh account.

If you ended up with more than 10 characters on 1 realm after merges you can transfer them to a new account. They did not forget to remove it. People who were inactive when merges happened might be coming back and still using it.

Oh oke then. But then a new problem appears when I attempt to link my accounts: it says "That account does not belong to you". What does that mean? Im pretty sure the account name is correct and, of course, the account belong to me :D

It says you can transfer chars to a fresh account. It probably means new account that you just created.

What exactly are you trying to do with it? Do you have more than 10 chars on 1 realm on the same account after merges? You can't merge 5 accounts into 2 using that feature.

I thought the Merge feature can do exactly this thing.
