Hello Azerothians, I can't decide where should I play, both realms seems populated since even +-5k on Lordaeron is far from LOW and both realms look appealing to me. Icecrown because of exp rate and Lordaeron because of it's hardcore PvE and no donors. Now, don't get me wrong, I am personally willing to donate and support this server as a ex Molten Wow fan and player who spent 2 years straight on Molten WoW but in the other hand, I would like to experience the leveling, lore throughout the game and not just novels and youtube and it seems that Lordaeron can offer me that experience.
So I have a several questions for you:
1. Is it easy to form a RD group on Lordaeron since there's no RDF system implemented?
2. Do people of Loarderon really ask only for overgeared people for a certain content?
3. Is it possible to experience a healthy PvE on Icecrown due to over geared players with donated gears? I mean, am I not going to be abandoned If I do not have enough money to boost up my character to the level of being as strong as the Titan? :D
4. Since I don't mind about the Queue time on the Icecrown because I have already planned to donate and skip the que, 12k seems awesome, so, how is 5k than? Does it feels empty or not? If I remember well, Molten had about 2.8k back then when I played and it was enough even for full pug full ICC 25.
5. Who's doing better PvE on Lordearon and whos doing better PvE on Icecrown? H or A?
So, as a hardcore PvE player who had every single ICC achievement and was the Officer of one of the best PvE guilds in the Alliance back then <Invocation>, should I play on Icecrown or Lordaeron. Keep in mind that I would also play some PvP occasionally (not serious PvP tho)

1. 50-50, sometimes you'll spam for hours, sometimes you'll get a group in like 20 minutes.
2. Gearscore exists on lordareon so yes, but then again GS exists on all wotlk servers so it will be an issue everywhere, find a guild.
3. PvE scene is laughable on icecrown, there are good guilds, but most people PvP there.
4. 5k is more than enough, 12k is overcrowded imo.
5. Horde as far as im aware.
Go lordareon, it has a better PvE scene and has enough pvpers to play against in arenas, bgs, and world pvp

Ty so much. Theres one more question tho. I've checked out Lordaeron realm info here on the web page and there's somthing I dont understand quite well:
"Item coin cost increased" - What does it means? Donated gear will cost more than it cost on Icecrown so Lordaeron is more Blizzlike since not everyone will be able to donate? Or the term "Coin" is refered to "Token" you get from Toc or Icc to upgrade t9 or T10 into a higher level? If that's it, than why? isn't it already hard to get a token in a 25 man raid? Why should I grind 3 tokens instead of 1 jut to upgrade 1 single piece of gear?

However, only vanity items are available on Lordaeron store.

Oh well got it now. I am happy to see that gameplay and the way we are able to get PvE gear from Valors and PvE dung/raids isn't affected anyhow. Ty guys so much. :) Now I have to lvl up that spacegoat shaman from lvl 1 to 80 at x1 exp rate :D

I have characters on both servers. Here are my thoughts:
Icecrown: Easier to level (obviously)
* RDF
* Donors
* Huge population
* Appears to be more PvP oriented?
Lordaeron:
Currently no ICC (coming in march)
Blizzlike leveling
No RDF ("hardcore")
-> Point on this though, very mixed feelings. While it makes the server more blizzlike feeling like TBC, it's the reason I don't play there.
-> Being hardcore and all is cool but my god it takes ages to get a dungeon group, especially if you need to farm a certain dungeon for something specific.
NO SM DONORS! This is easily the best thing here.
You can donate but with heavy restrictions (and things cost a tonne, like really much).
Overall it really depends whether you want the game to be easier at the start or harder.
In Endgame raiding, it'll be easier on Icecrown cause many people got donor gear.
I haven't experienced PVP much on Lordaeron but you can be sure that there's no naked SM warriors running around and even with icecrown release, it'll be quite rare to come across one.

Leveling on Lordaeron isn't that bad. Sometimes finding a group for a dungeon can be tricky, but having leveled a few char's myself, I still find it cool. People are really helpful here, because many of them know how hard it is to be playing on a hardcore server. Just make your space goat shammy (same as me) and go go. You can also find me in-game (Helinors). I can help you with this and that. because being a new player...well it's kinda hard till you start making gold and so on.

Oh ty dude, I will add you ofc, my ingame name is Newena and I am indeed a female space goat shaman because female Draenei shamans are sexy out of 100 xD As for being new to the game, I am not, I had t10 Warlock on Molten, t10 Shaman and ~5.5k gs resto Druid but plazing on Moltens high exp easy mode is NOTHING comparing to this, this is my 1st time playion on x1 rate and its amazing, yet its hard.

im planning to play on Lordaeron..whats the most needed class? Healer or Tanker? bcoz from the rumors i heard (in-game) in Icecrown..healers n tankers there are like extinct species..i dun care much tho bout that since im there to level n pvp..but want to try the pve feeling now

I'm not sure why people thinks Icecrown is PVP oriented. Horde Global chat is nothing but raids/dungeons
So my conclusion is that ya'll are Alliances

You forgot one point: if you want to start directly raiding on Lordaeron, I suggest to buy a character in the Character Trading System. Cheers!
