Dev Request: please prohibit DKs from using global channels until L58 or so

Hi Devs

Without the dungeon finder tool, the server population is very dependent on the global channel, /global. You have quite reasonably implemented a minimum level requirement of 10 to prevent unnecessary spam, but a few people, and one person in particular, is abusing the system by constantly creating new death knights and spamming this channel constantly.

Please consider changing the server logic so that DKs also have to level up enough to prevent this nuisance behaviour - perhaps L58 or whatever you deem appropriate, and potentially also implement a spamming rate limiter (e.g. not more than 3 messages per 5 minutes etc)

SOLVED

While I would still encourage the devs to implement the suggestion above, we have a handful of people on the realm who are constantly spamming irrespective of level. To take matters into my own hands I've modified an old version of SpamThrottle and it seems to have solved the problem, which I have posted here in case others want to try it.

It's not really solved, they need to do something about these spammers.

Rather they need to perma-ban one particular spammer that is the main cause of 90% of the spam
