As the title says, it'd be really nice to have a responsive website. I've noticed that loading that big photo at any part of the website but the forum requires a lot of carrier data. Since -I don't really know in America- in Europe it's the most common thing to have limited data for your mobile phone and, also, the forum is already responsive, it'd make sense to make the website so.
Any negative sides?

With "big photo" you probably mean the video that plays at the top of each page. Replacing it with an image seems like a good idea when opening the page from mobile phone. There have been complaints about the video before but for now the only solution is ad block that can remove the video, which I did because it was using too much resources on Firefox when multiple tabs of website and forum were open.

Is it animated like the older ones? Did not notice.
Well, the video is a part of my complaining, but so is the accessibility it offers. For phones everything is too small as the design is for bigger screens like a PC's or tablet's, even. I mean, the idea of my suggestion is to make it all of it responsive, not only the video.

Yes, it's still a video.
The forum system that they are using most likely already included a mobile version so they decided to enable it since it does not require additional maintenance.
Remaking whole website into a mobile version sounds like much more work and many of the changes after that would have to be done on both. Also not everyone wants a mobile version. I prefer using full version of a site even on phone and zoom in when needed instead of mobile version where things are located elsewhere and some features might be missing (my experience with trying to use forums mobile version). Some features of the site might not be that mobile-friendly but at the same time I don't think I would need them from phone since I would want access to the game when using them so I would be at a PC anyway.

Well, there's always a "view the desktop version" intended for this desire.
It'd be happy to know the point of view of the devs about this.
