    Play TBC on Mac

Hey guys, i want to know how to play TBC on Mac, since the old client isn't avaible anymore.
Could someone create a guide for it?

I tried Play on Mac but it gives me errors.
Also Bootcamp is a bit annoying, 'cause i don't want to reload my Mac for playing.

    Any tips is welcome :)

They never did a MAC version of TBC, you need to emulate windows to play it. https://www.winehq.org/ Should be able to do it.

    1. Download the latest version of Wineskin Winery
    2. Download the windows tbc client from warmane
    3. Open up Wineskin Winery
    4. Click + to add a new Engine and Download and Install it
    5. Then click Update to add a Wrapper Version
    6. Now click Create a Wrapper and call it TBC and click OK
    7. Click View Wrapper in Finder
    8. Double click your TBC app
    9. Click Set Screen Options
    10. Click Use Mac Driver instead of X11
    11. Click Use Direct3D Boost (if available)
    12. Click Done
    13. Click Install Software
    14. Click Move a Folder Inside (this means download your TBC Windows client, if it's a ZIP file, unzip it and select that folder).
Now you can set the Executable by clicking Advanced.
After that point if you need to fix your Wrapper, right click TBC icon and click Show Package Contents, then Double click Wineskin.
    Hopefully this solves your problems

Following these steps has worked for me, my tbc client is working fine xP

  4. Can you expand a bit more on the last steps? I got to where I set the executable but do not know how to set it.

  5. on the latest 2017 iMac :
I tried wine alone or WineBottler, i had problem of texture missing.
but PlayOnMac works perfectly for me.

  6. Hi there,

Playing on a MacBook and iMac as well.....having the issues below:

1.) The method with WineHQ worked on my MacBook first login. The next time I logged in, the application loaded to a black screen and the game crashed. The only thing I can think of that I changed was the resolution in-game. I tried deleting the config.wtf folder and interface, but did not help....
2.) Retail WoW is installed on my iMac, but the issue with the black screen above happens here as well, but at least with my MacBook, the game loaded up the first install.

Is there something outside of the config.wtf and interface folder that might be setting a resolution?

    Thanks!

As with the other thread, I am posting this as an update, http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tik....php?postId=87

Needs to be followed, do not enable "Direct3D Boost" either, I was not able to run the program with it enabled. Usage may vary

  8. Is it possible to get any add-ons to work this way too?

Hello, sorry for the late reply

But yes, addons work just fine all you have to do is go into the package contents of the .app

    Go to the drive_c folder
Go to the Program Files folder
    Then to the WoW folder
In there is a "Interface" folder and in there you will see an AddOns folder where you can use your addons from sites like Legacy-Wow

They work just fine, I use many myself like Cartographer and Quartz with no problems at all

  10. I played WoW on Mac for the first time, in TBC. So, that is wrong. I never had a PC as my main computer until 2 years ago, and i played wow on a MacBook Pro up through Cataclysm.
