These questions get so old and show just how little people know about anything...so I will set the record straight.
If you have the wow client 2.4.3 you can log into any 2.4.3 server in existence given they do not require modified patches and none of the tbc servers that I know of use any modified patches that are out today, therefore seeing as u loged into the ptr by simply changing your realmlist(if you are playing here no realmlist change needed since u logged into the ptr) the same client can and will log into (using rhyming names) Tummy's tbc server, Wargait/Hellfround tbc server, Hellquire tbc server, and yes Warmane.

Point blank: No, you do not have to download a new client. You can use the same one you already have from the PTR.
