Yet, I still see people riding around on mounts at level 30. Would like to know how they're able to afford them so soon.

The riding training is quite achievable around level 45, where quests begin to give around 1g per.
Just stick in for a few more dings and you'll be there - I've seen so many 40+ on mount, and each of they say "Hinterlands".

While riding is a skill, i think the disscount was reffering only to class trainers:) not proffesion/riding ones.

Well epic lv 60 riding costs 550g :) It will be some time before people are able to get this one :) Let alone flying ! :)
