Maybe they should put time into working on realms that they have ignored for 2 years now...
Too bad community input has 0 value in decision making, so we'll just have to wait and see after 6 months when they announce what they've been working on.
I think they should stop copying original WoW now and build custom realm with completely unique ruleset
They should probably tend to Cata and MOP cause they've been swept under the rug for quite a while now.
I think Cata ran its course naturally through progression, population and popularity. Either a Vanilla realm that won't get sued or, more logically and close at hand; put some more work into MoP.
Well, they have the content for vanilla scripted. Going backwards, since they can backport the core, should be way easier than going forward. Also, have in mind that the difficulty of programming the content increases with every expansion.
Well, I guess that they don't really need to do Cata if they're doing MOP, but I still think that it shouldn't be forgotten, had some of the most memorable WoW moments there.
The scope is quite vast, and it increases exponentially each time Blizzard decides to remake the 1-60 content too.
I was hoping for an ICC type of realm but progressive. However they said they dont have any plans for that.
I wish for a progressive wotlk realm without extreme buffing and other "hardcore" lordaeron features which require super minmaxing.
Also wondering what are they gonna do to Lordaeron after it reaches ICC and stays there for a year or two.
Gonna leave it forever there as well?

A clasic vanila server. Cant go wrong with that.
Ppl love the content..dungeons,raids,pvp. Sure vanila was a huge grind but idk i loved it both raids and pvp. Alterac valley without reinf was just so mutch fun...also the raids. Idk i would play it for sure even thou i main wotlk. Everything was quite epic and interesting in vanila armor , weapons the story behind it etc.
Also the population would be very nice atlest 7-8k ppl , atleast.
And cata/mop well the numbers say for themself. 1400ppl atm online on both cata & mop server.
So thats def not the way to go.
I could be wrong, but I think there's a real good chance Blizzard will announce their own Vanilla server at Blizzcon. I've always thought it made sense for Blizzard to offer one during the "dead" period at an end of an expansion, when they've run out of new content for the current expansion but have a lot of work still to do on the next one. A legacy server seems like a perfect solution to fill that dead time, would take some of the pressure away from them to offer the next expansion quickly.
So I'd be careful about starting a new Vanilla server project. I think improving MoP and Cata would be a better choice.
I started to play wow again on molten frostwolf (cata server) It was good experience for me. 4k players and 1k on que. So many mechanics was broken on frostwolf. But, all players enjoyed like me. There were bring end game content. Ds experience on molten is memorial. I dont like cata gameplay too much but, I want same experince on molten to neltharion or new hardcore cata realm.
