why are regular mobs on a insanely fast timer...while quest mobs are insanely slow?
MoBs' respawn rates are directly dependant of how crowded a zone is. Rare ones and bosses have a set respawn timer (usually between 5 to 10 minutes in my experience).
That's the problem, the server adjusts the normal mob spawns to the insane population levels but the named quest mob spawn timers (and looted quest item spawns) are standard. This was bad enough during retail when even on the busiest servers the playerbase wasn't even half of what you see on Outland.. The server is far too crowded which results in seeing literal raid group worths of people camping single mobs.
To cater to the masses of players these spawns on looted quest items and named quest mobs also need to be much much faster.
exactly quest mobs should do the same and adjust
