TBC - Why is a selected target's health shown in percentages only?

Like the title says - why is it so? Players' mana is shown in numbers, but health is always shown in percentages. I have not selected the "Display Percentages" option and I am not playing with addons. I would love if I could see health in numbers, if possible

Not true. There is an option to either show numbers or percentages, but both options make it show percentages.

Technically, retail was the first TBC server to have such. It's a server-side thing anyway, which I imagine most private servers have enabled due to it being a "Quality of Life" change.

Just use the damn addon that shows HP..... it's called "Mobhealth"(yes it also shows players hp) or something like that <.< You wotlk babies are so annoying it's crazy.

I personally can't stand Wrath, it's boring. I've been playing WoW since vanilla retail and never had this problem before. Also never used an addon or knew they existed till I came to this server.

I definitely remember me and all of my alliance friends trying to figure out how there was a horde with 22k hp in BC.

Thing is... playing in Burning Crusade + not using any add-ons + memory saying you could see numerical hit points = Woodstock.
