I keep getting invalid target when i try to click the gone and i have the mallet in my bags

I just tried and it does summon Gahz'rilla normally for me and he is attackable. Not sure what is causing your issue.

did u go to the alter in the hinterlands to make the mallet?

I dont think you even need the mallet.
