on the past weeks i saw that, tho the player base is roughly the same, there are less players on each realm. and as i have read on some other posts some of those realms are dying (Neltharion being one, as an example).
so.. why not atracting more people to this server? and if done so.. how...
some friend of mine gave me a few links about some publicity another wow server is doing, as shown below:

i found the fan made cinematic and the editing fantastic.. and i wonder.. could we as a comunity do the same?
i saw past events like "weapon creators" and "detectives" being held some months ago... why not asking the comunity to create fan made (or profesional, if they wish to) videos like the one above to MAYBE use them as a way to atract players to this server?
warmane staff could also make this themselves, but well.. thats why this section of the forum is called "suggestion".
and before any misunderstandings come by:
i am NOT asking for a new server / realm / split
i am NOT advertising another server (just showing some of their work as an example of what we could do)
and im sorry if my english isnt great or if this suggestion should be in another part of the forum.

well, looks the video i linked was removed. anyway, the idea remains: creating a cinematic fan made (or profesional if wished to) video to atract more people to the server... or just for fun ^^

if the community wanted to do this they could. you'd be better off bringing this up in the community creations section.

The issue isn't in advertising- it's competition. Someone could create an ad video, but I doubt it would do much. Most people probably aren't even going to look at a video if something else doesn't draw their interest first.
Just Wrath Pservers alone, there's ~30 out there. A server can put itself out there as much as possible, but when people look at pservers they're looking for an instant indication of what makes the server stand out from the rest, what the population/activity is, and how much content is working, like "Why should I play [x] over [x]?" All this is stuff people want to see right off the bat on a server's website, not through a video ad they have to sit and watch.
The status of Nelth has been discussed elsewhere and it has less to do with Warmane and more to do with the lack of appeal for Cata. Afaik Warmane is currently regarded as the best for Wrath and (endgame) MoP and while MoP's population has stayed pretty steady, Wrath servers seem to still be bringing people in.

this was a FAN-MADE publicity video for the release of vanilla naxx. i believe warmane could do something similar specially now that they should add TBC content.
also, as you can see, the video ends with a teaser of a future trailer but for BT.

I think this video is an expection to what fans usually do. He currently works for Blizz now. Mainly, the reason it has a lot of views, is because it's shared drastically around the WoW forums.
However, there is already a lot of promotion, in terms of Twitch, the stream & etc but really Youtube fan made videos don't really get a great deal of attention, the majority of the people on the private server level already know Warmane, they just want custom items, level 255 or pre tbc.
