1. Virus, Bad hardware/software, or Bad Install of game?

    Wotlk 3.3.5a (WoD Models)
Some Information before I tell the story! My settings like video, volume, and macros NEVER save and I always have to redo them. I also have to cancel or watch the cinematic and accept the 2 ToS when logging in. Dunno if its like that or a bug.

I was blacksmithing in stormwind on my human, and my screen goes a stretched white / tan human skin color (Kinda what I was using?) and my health bar was Huge like 25% of the Top-left screen. I think there was a bit of distorted audio? (Cant remember correctly). But I go out, and relaunch the game but when I get into the game and press escape to cancel the cinematic the audio is extremely distorted worse than before (startled me from how loud it was coming from a quiet desktop, and the quiet distortion from the first crash). So I quickly quit the game and run MSE (microsoft security essentials), and try malware bytes which doesnt work, because it said it couldn't connect to the application (I think it said or something along those lines, but It wouldnt work / dunno if its just not updated or what). After I clicked it the video / visual on my desktop started to corrupt. Not in a full rainbow shutdown way or bsod, but little spikes would come out and go back in and would do that. So are these audio & video corruption / distortions from a virus, from my software/hardware being bad or corrupted, or is it (hopefully) corrupted game files? The error I got was ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception.

I can link the text log, and the dmp log if needed.

  2. Reinstall video drivers.

Check integrity of your Harddisk by running CMD with admin rights and run CHKDSK. (checkdisk)

See if you can copy the wow client to a different HD

  3. You might have issues with your drivers, as always a clean OS reinstall is the best thing you could do. As far as your settings/ToS and so forth issue, it's because the game folder is set to "Read Only". Right click on it, go to Properties, uncheck the "Read Only" box, apply to all files and subfolders when prompted and that should fix it. Also, try not to have the game folder in locations like Program Files, move it to desktop or another partition.
