Is Outland (Server) leveling a pain or have I just forgotten?
Hey all, I finally got truly fed up with official WoW so I decided to play on a private server, starting off on Outland for 5x just so I can do the BC PvP and Raid experience.
I can't decide if I've forgotten how badly Warriors level or if the fact that its 5x and I'm fighting level 17 mobs with level 4 and 5 gear is affecting my Warrior that heavily. Even with professions (Skin/Mine) I could afford maybe a single piece of gear on the AH. So what would you all recommend? Going back and doing some gear quests? I'm currently level 17 in Redridge using gear that a level 6 warrior would be proud of and the level 10 warrior quest weapon
Warriors are very gear reliant, and it will feel slower than another class. Just focus on gear you get from questing and you'll make it eventually. Its quicker than you think. AH gear is sort of irrelevant until later in the game because of the 5x exp
I am currently lvling a draenei paladin, and so far it seems to be okay.
I think the "trick" is to not skip so many quests in the first couple of zones so you complete quests chains that reward you some green items. Although it slows down the progress slightly. Warriors tend to pick it up later on when they are around lvl 40+ and receive nice items from class quests. Hang in there! :)
Well, you're literally playing the most gear-reliant class in the game on a realm with x7.5 XP rates. What did you expect, really?
Yes, TBC is a pain to level. Yes, warriors are a pain to level, especially on lower levels. Yes, the XP rates make it even worse.
Try doing quests which award items, not just money and XP. Plenty of such quests on Alliance side. Also, you might wanna switch that skinning for blacksmithing, although it will significantly slow down your leveling.
