Burning Crusade Check if Name is in use

Is it possible to check if a name is only secured,
so on a lvl 1 Char or whether this is really in use and to release the name eventual?

Type that name in armory see if it shows anything. Or in-game when you make character.

Yea, it is only a lvl 1 Char. i think the name is only secured. Is there a chance to get the name? or to delete the char if the character is not used?

Amm if the character is not yours then no sadly that name is reserved.

If you try making a character with the name you desire and it says that its unavailable, means its already taken. However, periodically data cleanups are performed and if the player with your desired name is inactive, the character most likely gets deleted so the name becomes free.

The cleanup doesn't apply to premium accounts though.
