A question for experienced pve kind players. And lots of JARAXXUS!
Hello leveling and farming guys'n'girls. I'm a newbie in wow.
I have heard lots of nice stories about warcraft from friends and internet. It is the dad of most mmorpg in pleasant and unpleasant stuffs.
Now I wanna dive into it. I have leveled up (lvl 20) near all the classes. Yes, I know, at 20 you can't have in mind what the class can do, but at least you know if your char has to drink tons of mana potion or if it has to buy/farm items for skills.
It is the first time I face a real holy trinity of classes and I'm so confused about the 3 possibilities (spec) of every class. All classes seems nice, but without know where my char can be useful I am scared to leveling it for "thousands" hours.
I mean: leveling a druid untill lvl80 and discover that for join parties i need to be restoration for use it 100% potential in wotlk make me sad. I do not know what class/spec in wotlk is a "Yes, you can deal rdps, but with that other class you can make it better AND you can conjure cheese omelette with champagne".
Here something about what I have tried:
Priest healing, for improve mi knowledge in wow and discover the lack of mana. I was afraid to become mana potion addicted D:.
Priest shadow (lvl36): it is to early foe judge how much dps can do. It is fun, dps/dots/heal but with a real mana problem.
After i have tried in melee, "fury" (as much as can be fury at level 20 hoh) warrior. Really funny alone, with a good gear you can become the death's beyblade. So messy and chaotic with others melee in dungeons.
Shaman. At 20 I felt lost, rounded by colorful totems, useful for the party. Seems good, but esthetically I do not like it. Totems appearance change with the race choosen, but still it is not a class that i would play at high levels.
Druid, all-role class. First levels with bear has scared me. Probably get better with more levels. You can change transformations colour with hairs (with ally elfs) or furr (tauren).
Mage, fire or get fired! Funny dps, but not for me. I have not enought knowledge to make good damage. Seems challenging.
Lock, one of the funniest. Why I have to rattle off the heats of two pure men? Oh, right. For summon a vampiric dominatrix. Is not my type, but her voice acting has left me without words. I love his mana and life siphon, play with a char that no need food/drinks it is pretty good for my playstyle.
Hunter. Good rdps, funny ranged terminator with a little tanky pet. It has reminded me (like demonology lock) to spiritmaster in aion. Funny but the pet management, in high levels, became complex.
I'm scared too for the equip-looking (sometimes I do not play wow, but I play "How do you dress, little Garrosh-princes?) I have loved the transmog mechanic in guild wars 2. Here I know I can find some scrolls at highs levels to change the shape of armor/weap. I wanna make a good looking char for my tastes, but I do not know what armor I can have. Tiers, drops, craftings and others sources. I have no idea about what can wait me 'u'.
The char style is a big slice of the game-cake that I want to discover. On the internet I have not found galleries for wotlk.
As you can see I am not an hardcore gamer. I play for fun, for find people with play and chat. I prefear dress'n'craft my char's equip.
I'm here to ask to someone who know what class shoud I play having in mind:
-pve oriented;
-good spec in wotlk;
-with lots kind of different armorsets appearances for a wide choice;
-a class/spec that can survive without too many consumable items.
I think I have wrote ten times the word "know". Yes, for me "Knowledge is power. Power to make good things with others."
Thanks for have spent time for reading this. Lots of people has asked "What class should I play" and you all can be tired about answer.
Have a nice day independently your timezone.
Have fun and YOU FACE JARAXXUS, ERADAR LORD OF THE BURNING LEGION!
(the 5 hours loop has melt my brain)
"I have leveled up (lvl 20) near all the classes.". Just don't do that. Pick one class and try to stick with it at least until you hit max level. There is no such thing as "best class", they are all very different, so nobody can tell you what would you like the most. However, since you are completely lost, I would recommend you playing paladin. It is extremely easy (which is very important for a beginner) and versatile. You can fill in every single role as a paladin - tank, healer or dps. You will understand what you want later in game. Hf.
