Is it forbidden to sell gold for money?

I just want to ask cuz of curiosity.
I see players in Global selling gold for real money is this forbidden ? and do this players get banned for that?

TRADING ITEMS, SERVICES, GOLD, ETC FOR REAL MONEY
We don't allow any trade of virtual goods for real money be it through forum, game or via 3rd party softwares. Likewise, we don't allow the offering of any services (eg. boosting) for real money either.
