1. Picking a Druid Spec?

I'm pretty new to TBC, so forgive me for the lame question. Lol
I'm really liking druids so far in this expansion, but I'm wondering if I should go balance or feral combat for PvE. (Not interested in resto at the moment.) Balance has been nice but their mana seems to run out pretty quickly. I just hit level 20 though, so I'm not sure if their mana gets better at later levels or not.
How good is feral's survivability and damage, and how exactly does feral work? Is it just bear and cat in one spec or is there more to it? What I understand so far is that feral is just that, a tank and a dps spec in one and you can kind of choose which one you want to focus on (damage or tanking). I'm honestly lost.

  2. I'm in a semi-hardcore raiding guild and I have never seen a DPS feral druid in PvE. Does that answer your question?

Balance is just spamming Wrath and keeping Improved Faerie Fire on the target. That's your entire rotation.

    Wrong.

Feral tanks are fine and very viable and you can cat dps on bosses where only one tank is needed, but finding a guild where you can only cat dps is very unlikely.

Balance druids are ok and I think most guilds use at least one. Mana is a problem tho, especially pre t4 gear, but with the help of innervates and mana pots you'll manage.
