So basically I log into my character and realize everything gold+items are missing. Logged on the site in my account and it says "Your IP Address (185.104.184.0) has been suspended for due to Advertising" It's not my IP address obviously. There's no way that someone could have known my password. There's no way that I could get scammed by typing my account information on some "gold-selling" sites. Just check the logs somehow and deal with my problem please. I had everything on that character because he was my bank-like. Character name: Mishobank

I have never entered my account information on any site except warmane. And support already answered me saying that there's no way to get my stuff back and they will only punish the player who did this but excuse me, when you get 10k gold worth stuff stolen you don't really give a **** about getting someone banned you only want your stuff back. So if they can't provide that I'm out of this unprotected server.

You aren't going to receive anything lost back, as account security is your responsibility. You can say as many times as you like that you had the utmost security or say that the server is "unprotected" (yet someone would target your account, instead of thousands of others with way more than 10000 gold worth of stuff), but the fact someone accessed your account is there to prove you wrong. Just for starters, a simple (if rhetorical) question: did you have 2-step authentication active?

i think that 2-step authentication is used by people that donate or so... because is a must to donate etc.. the trick here is to find that person that "hacked" the account and see how he did it and from there wich/who foult is.

far as i know anyone can use 2 step. and if you get "hacked" it's no ones fault but your own. just means you were careless with your info.

It's available for everyone, though. Not using it and leaving your account without that extra layer of protection is an individual choice each player makes. We make sure the data on our side is safe - which is made clear by how these "hackings" are rare and only seem to affect accounts that wouldn't be considered high-interest targets - and we offer tools for players to have security assured on their side, but they have to be used in the first place.

I've been playing WoW for 9-10 years and have never experienced anything like that on any server so if you're saying that "people must take care of their accounts" it does not affect me at all because I know very well how I should do that. Also, I'm not saying I'm the richest player on server and that guy aimed only my account, he may be trying to hack all others too but somehow I became a prey. But if you wanna still blame me, go ahead.
