WotLK Stuck at connected cant get into the character screen

i have been having this problem since yesterday evening. When i got home form work i tried logging in and it stuck at connected on the login screen, its still the same even when i tried other realms it still stuck at connected but cant get into the character screen . my internet connection is not a problem

I have this issue as well for WOTLK. says "connecting" for a while and then it says "cannot connect to server" . I am able to login into the TBC servers just fine! I deleted the entire folder and am currently redownloading it. hopefully this fixes the issue! Some help on this would be greatly appreciated.
