Burning Crusade Stuck at handshaking

Dear reader,
I have now for several days try to get connection to your private server. I created an account, downloaded the game from this link http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=280398, extracted the file and have the right realmlist on. However, every single time I try to log in I always get stuck at "handshaking". I'm not really good at computers but here the is the following stuff I have tried in order to fix this issue:
1) created a new account- same problem
2) Removed firewall- same problem
3) tried downloading a new client- same problem
4) checked the realmlist to ensure everything is ok- same problem
I am running wow on a pc with windows 10

I only need to extract the game and create an account right?
additional information: This occurs on every single private server I try! So I tried to download both WOTLK and TBC on your private server- same issue.
Then I wanted to try if it worked on lightshope private server- excatly the same problem!

Maybe some of you with your knowledge knows what is going on here?
