WotLK WotLK Name unavailable but no character with that name?

I'm trying to name a newly made character a certain name but it says the name is unavailable?

I checked the name adding it to my friends list and the name isn't made or on a ally/horde side on Icecrown?

What gives? Name isn't inappropriate btw

it's probably on a level 1. think you need to be level 10 or so before armory shows your character.

WoW client contains a list of names that can not be used. It's not only inappropriate names. It contains all kinds of names that were against Blizzards character naming policy, link to which I can no longer find. It includes names of brands, famous people, names that include titles (for example, character name can not start with "King"), names related to places and NPCs in WoW and various other names.
