WotLK Donating For Wrathful Gladiator Gear. Do you need the arena rating to equip?

Looking at the wrathful gladiator gear in the show shows that there's no need for an arena rating of over 1950 in order to equip, yet the vendors in dalaran say that you need 1950 to equip. If you donate for this will you be able to wear the gear even though you don't have an arena rating over 1950?

you need rating just to buy it, not for equipping.

If you buy via website Store you will have no problem. Do not worry
