WotLK Battered hilt quest bugged - contacting GM didn't work either (WoTLK- Icecrown)

So I was on the step where you have to bring Quel'Dalas to the Sunwell in the raid in Quel'Danas, and because I was with someone else in the same stage of that quest, the other person got the item and it was empty for me, thus losing my Quel'Dalas item and being unable to progress the quest or repeating it. I tried abandoning the quest but no NPC can give back the quest to me.
NPCs I tried:
The quest-giver in Frozen Halls (near ICC Dungeons)
The quest-giver in fall of Quel'Dalas in Icecrown (near TOC zone)
The quest-giver in Dalaran in the Silver Enclave.

I think at this point I just need to have the item and quest state restored or something. I also wouldn't mind starting the entire questline over.

Abandoning and retaking the quest works. The NPC that gives the quest is outside Sunwell entrance.
