WotLK Normal xp in WotKL

I found Warmane on a list of WoW servers that operated classic and old expansions, on the list it said that Warmane had a WotLK server with X1 - X2 xp-gains, yet after having downloaded the client and followed all instructions I was very surprised at being halfway to level 3 after having handed in the 1st quest and killed 1 mob.

Was the advertisement on the server list wrong, or did I use the wrong WotLK (I can see there is a "old WotLK" and a WotLK on the list of servers)
