WotLK Character gone?

So I leveled a character with my cousins back in a while. We logged in today, they still have their characters (in a party with me, btw), and my character names show up in their friends list and all.
I logged in my account, and in the realm list it shows I've got a character, but once I log in the server my char list is empty.
We played togheter the last time, so if it this happened because of "inactivity", theirs would be gone too.
What happened? I rly don't want to start from scratch.

if character list is empty click on "change realm", which is on the top of character list ( maybe you were on the wrong realm)
