Yo, I was just wondering since transmog was released and it's not exactly 'blizzlike' would there be any way that we could see titles such as 'Warbringer' and 'the Supreme' to be released to players as rewards for certain events? (idk if this is the right place to put this post btw)
On Icecrown, there is hardly any title variation. Most players use 'the Kingslayer' and even 'of the Ashen Verdict' which are the most generic titles ever and are only fitting for edgy GoT roleplayers and ERPers. Sometimes you'll see a challenger or a gladiator, but half of these titles are from reporting half the ladder or farming content from 10 years ago. There are atleast 20-30 unreleased titles in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion and I think that a diverse amount of titles would allow certain players to stand out just like previously with the release of the Quiraji mount on the store. I would gladly play for a title that few people have if that was the cost or I would work to whatever objective to get one.
by the way, these titles include:
Doctor
Iron Chef
Supreme
Hero of Northrend
Warbringer
Scarab Lord
Stalker
the Maelific
Prophet
Archmage ?
the Lion Hearted
the Forsaken
and many more, which you can search. I'm pretty sure all of these titles are on this server's core.
The only one of the ones you mentioned that exists in the client is Scarab Lord, which was reserved to the first player who banged the gong to Ahn'Qiraj and those who did it in the following 10 hours after him: https://wow.gamepedia.com/Scarab_Lord
Those titles are hardcored in the client, and adding new titles is not possible without modifying the client or using awful hacks.
Now that I look at it, there are a few "realm first" titles that could be repurposed like Scarab Lord, Death's Demise, Grand Crusader, Magic Seeker, but what's the point? Make people pay 600€ for them like they do for that stupid chicken? Because if edginess bothers you, doing that is the ultimate proof of edginess.
