Forum Help, settings dont work at all

Hi, i just started playing this server/ wow not to long ago and i was rlly enjoying myself until i very quickly realized that THE ENTIRE SETTINGS BOTH FOR VIDEO AND SOUND JUST PLAIN DONT WORK. not only does my "remember me" button on the front login page not work, but most frustratingly i cannot change any video settings so im stuck on 800x600 and trying to change anythign just crashes the game on my otherwise amazing gaming computer. im currently redownloading this server for the 2nd time. if anyone has an answer as to how i can change settings and have it actually work. let me know (side note alt+tab freezes a stretched out frozen overlay of the game across my monitor while the game runs fine in the background?????? lmao)

try this:
1) Restart your PC
2) close your Torrent client and move your WoW folder away from your Torrent's download destination
3) now right click on WoW folder> Properties> remove "read-only"
