Technical How to save video/addon settings?

Hey,

I have tried ...

- Taking it off read-only
- Run as admin
- Moved from downloads file
- Rename a file and place it in there.

It is actually making me not want to play ...

spend hours doing my UI and get a crash, all gone!

After some heavy Addon editing, you should relog to save the Addon's settings. If you crash before relog, you'll lose the progress.
If your resolution won't stay the same even after those steps that you did. Go to your WTF-folder and delete config text fire. Then re-run game (the settings are reset) and apply the settings you want. Shouldn't reset your resolution anymore.

I have done this and a complete redownload of the game and it still does not save anything

I have similar problem in last couple of days it was just audio and video setting, but today it erased all my UI/addons configuration. It will be really pain in the a..if i need it to configure it every time i start game.
Please give me some suggestions how to fix this.

once you got your UI back to where it was, roughly, make a copy of your WTF folder. If your addons are reset again, use the backup WTF folder. Should have your UI back.

Permanent fix? Maybe somebody else has it. Google?
