WotLK Mounting bug?

Has anyone ever had a bug where every time you try to mount your character dismounts? My mount worked fine up until i took it into that one weapon shop in the dwarven district of stormwind.

Gnome by chance? I had the same problem on my gnome trying to use their racial mount. It doesn't work at all in IF, and only works in certain parts of SW. From what I was told in-game, it's a known bug.

yes, your issue is due to WoD/Legion models.

Sure am, ran into another gnome with an unpainted mechanostrider and sure enough he was having the same issue

by removing WoD models.

You can do that by following this guide:
1. Open WoW folder
2. Open the Data folder.
3. Delete the patch-w.mpq file.
4. Delete the patch-x.mpq file
5. Open the enUS folder.
6. Delete the patch-enUS-w.mpq file.
7. Delete the patch-enUS-x.mpq file

I didn't delete, just added .old to the end of each.
