WotLK No in-game sound and unable to change resolution

Just downloaded and launched no problem, however ingame sound is not available and i cant seem to change my resolution to 1080p wide. In addition whenever i launched the client it always goes to default settings. any feedback appreciated. Cheers!

Sound is all good now changed my speakers default format, for resolution i managed to get 1080p wide by going windowed and maximized however whenever i close the client it still goes back to default settings. Any thoughts?

wow folder -> properties -> un-check read only

How exactly did you fix your sound? I've tried a bunch of things like changing the default format, updating my drivers, changing headsets, removing headsets. Nothing seems to work
