Technical Donor Status

I made this post in Ask The Staff too but it's been a week and no reply may as well ask here in case it happened to anyone else.

I made this account back when Warmane was still called Molten-WoW and had donated. After the Moltdown I quit for awhile because I didn't want to put in all that work again. Came back about a year ago and my account doesn't have donor status anymore. I don't care about the coins I used to have I'm pretty sure I spent those on ****ty Paladin healing gear but being able to skip the queue would be nice. I have no idea what happened to my donor status though, can you lose it by not being active?
